New European Joint Action on Vaccination launched in Paris

Welcome to the 27th edition of the CPME newsletter.

This issue presents, among many other important topics, a feature article by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) about the European campaign to tackle the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) emergency.

You will find updates on the EU Joint Action on Vaccination (EU-JAV) and an overview of the ongoing debate about the future of professional regulation and the implementation of the Proportionality Directive. Furthermore, special emphasis is put on the importance of vaccination against seasonal influenza. Therefore, CPME encourages pregnant women, children aged between 6 months to 5 years, elderly individuals (aged over 65 years), individuals with chronic medical conditions, and, of course, all healthcare professionals to get vaccinated against seasonal influenza.
